The 50-metre superyacht project AXA has begun construction at Radež's facility in Korčula, Croatia, with the hull and superstructure expected to be joined next month.
The build has brought together an all-Croatian design team, including Ivica Sarun on naval architecture and interior design by Ivana Peko of Naval Design Solutions. A long-range cruiser, AXA is being built in steel and aluminium and has a volume that sits just below 500GT for greater accessibility in Mediterranean and Caribbean ports.
Accommodation comprises four guest cabins, a VIP suite and a full-beam owner's suite with a private balcony. Renderings reveal contemporary interiors with abstract art, clean, low-profile Minotti furniture and a neutral, monochromatic colour palette.
A design highlight is the sundeck, arranged with a Jacuzzi, bar and sunloungers, though further lounging and sunbathing areas can be found across AXA's two exterior decks – including a spacious beach club and swim platform.
Powered by twin CAT C32 engines, AXA will have a cruising speed of 12 knots, a top speed of 16 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles. Naiad zero-speed stabilisers will reduce roll motion both underway and at anchor.
