THE ITINERARY

Begin your trip with some sightseeing in Glasgow, a vibrant port city on the River Clyde in Scotland’s western Lowlands. Renowned for its striking Victorian and Art Nouveau architecture, Glasgow’s rich history in trade and shipbuilding perfectly complements the Belle Époque, Art Nouveau and Art Deco-inspired interiors of Amaryllis.

Today, the city thrives as a cultural hub, home to world-class attractions such as Glasgow Cathedral, the Michell Library and Glasgow Science Centre. Visitors can immerse themselves in acclaimed museums, a dynamic music scene and the charming independent West Brewery.

For those eager to tee off right away, spectacular golf courses are within easy reach. Play a round at Loch Lomond or The Carrick to the north or enjoy a game at Mar Hall along the River Clyde before setting sail.

After departing Glasgow, Amaryllis will anchor in one of the scenic bays off Troon or Prestwick – a stretch of coastline that is a pilgrimage site for golf enthusiasts.

Guests will have the opportunity to play at Royal Troon, one of the most challenging Open Championship courses, where the infamous Postage Stamp hole tests even the most skilled golfers. Nearby, Trump Turnberry offers a world-class golfing experience with its legendary Ailsa course, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Ayrshire coastline. The historic Prestwick Golf Club, the birthplace of The Open Championship, provides a rare chance to play where the world’s oldest major tournament began in 1860. Additional options include Glasgow Gailes and Irvine Golf Club, both offering impeccable greens and panoramic ocean views.

As Amaryllis anchors off the historic port of Campbeltown, guests will find themselves in the heart of Scotland’s whisky coast.

Begin the day with a tour and tasting at Springbank Distillery, one of the oldest family-owned distilleries in Scotland. Producing whisky using traditional methods rarely seen elsewhere, Springbank is renowned for its complex and full-bodied spirits. Nearby, Glen Scotia Distillery offers a contrasting style, known for its maritime-influenced single malts with hints of salt and sea spray. Glengyle Distillery is also worth a visit, home to the limited-production Kilkerran whisky.

Beyond whisky, Campbeltown is a golfer’s dream. Machrihanish Golf Club boasts one of the most famous opening holes in the world, where players must drive over the Atlantic Ocean onto the fairway.until dawn.

Islay is the southernmost of the Inner Hebrides islands off the west coast of Scotland. Famed for its peaty single malts and rugged landscapes, Islay is a whisky-lover’s paradise, home to legendary distilleries such as Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Ardbeg and Bowmore.

Beyond whisky, Islay is steeped in history and natural beauty. A visit to Loch Finlaggan, once the seat of the Lords of the Isles, offers a glimpse into Scotland’s medieval past, with the remains of ancient settlements, prehistoric forts and intricately carved tombstones. For those drawn to the island’s charming villages, Port Ellen, Port Charlotte and St Columba each provide a taste of local life, with Port Ellen’s scenic coastline a hotspot for birdwatching, home to everything from golden eagles to barnacle geese. Golf enthusiasts won’t want to miss a round at The Machrie Golf Links, a historic course founded in 1891.
