The 42.4-metre Royal Huisman sailing yacht Cyclos III has rejoined the brokerage market with Jurgen Koch and Giulio Riggio of Fraser Palma.
Cyclos III was constructed in aluminium by the Dutch shipyard and delivered in 1990. When delivered, she was quickly labelled "the ground-breaking yacht of her generation", with Ron Holland Design – who penned her exterior design and naval architecture – tasked with creating a comfortable sailing yacht with "spectacular" performance, as per the requests of her original owner.
She soon became a proven world cruiser and now champions two global circumnavigations under her belt, with her last refit works completed in 2016.
Interiors from Winch Design offer a chic and contemporary design with a "minimalist feel". Notably, there is little use of wood throughout her interior spaces (as was common on new builds of that time) – something that was specifically requested by her original owner.
Accommodation is for up to 10 guests in three "elegant" cabins, comprising a full-beam owner’s suite and two guest cabins, alongside quarters for a crew of five. Her brokers describe her interior as "unique", with the living spaces and accommodation characterised by high-gloss materials and numerous windows creating a bright, light-reflecting ambiance.
The main saloon is spacious – spread across two levels – with a circular dining table that seats six, a lounge area with two matching sofas and a bar. On deck, her central cockpit offers a further comfortable seating and dining area, while an aft cockpit houses the helm station, and her elongated foredeck stores a tender.
Powered by one 860hp MTU engine, the 210GT yacht for sale cruises at 10 knots, has a top speed of 13 knots and a transatlantic range of 5,000 nautical miles.
Currently lying in Valencia, Spain, Cyclos III is asking €3,500,000 with VAT paid.
