A further price drop of $1,000,000 has been announced on the 43.3-metre Christensen motor yacht Grade I, listed for sale with Lon McCloskey of Fraser. This additional reduction highlights the yacht's very motivated seller, who has now made $2,805,000 of price reductions since September 2024.
Delivered by American yard Christensen in 1995, Grade I was constructed in GRP to a design by Setzer Yacht Architects with interiors by Destry Darr. The 43.3-metre yacht benefitted from an extensive nine-month refit in 2018, undergoing works that included a full hull and superstructure repaint, new stabilisers, an extension of the sundeck and major internal upgrades with ebony veneer and intricate marble.
"Enhanced by a major refit, she offers a superb layout for active family use and is popular in charter," her broker noted. Accommodation on board is for a party of 12 in six cabins in typical fashion, with the owner's stateroom forward on the main deck and five guest cabins on the lower deck. The redesigned owner's suite includes a his and hers bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub.
The main saloon and a 12-seater dining table are divided by an onyx-covered cabinet. Forward, the lobby has been transformed (following the removal of her original elevator) and new chrome supports with glass, as well as a wood staircase, are highlighted by mother-of-pearl wall coverings. A full-height bronze statue completes the space.
The bridge deck sports an athwartships bar and opens out to an al fresco dining table aft. During the refit, the flybridge deck was extended to provide shade. Up top is a circular hot tub, BBQ and dining area, shaded by the GRP hardtop and arch that houses a weatherproof TV. The helm station forward was removed to provide more sunpads, but the pair of double-width helm seats were retained, giving commanding views forward.
Powered by twin 1,980hp Deutz MWM diesel engines, the 372GT, Bureau Veritas-classed yacht for sale has a top speed of 17 knots. Cruising speed is 12 knots and she has a range of 3,000 nautical miles at an economical 11 knots.
Grade I is now asking $5,990,000 with US duty paid.
