The 30.2-metre Nautor Swan sailing yacht Onyx II, listed for sale by Vesa Kaukonen of Large Yacht Corp, has received a €550,000 price drop.
Designed by German Frers, Onyx II was constructed in GRP by the Finnish yard to Bureau Veritas class and delivered in 2005. She is the first in the Swan 100 series to feature the ‘Semi-Raised Saloon’ configuration, which incorporates a sleek low-level coach roof. In 2021 - 2022, the sailing yacht underwent an extensive rebuild at Baltic Yachts, with works including an exterior repaint, new main machinery, a new teak deck and new sails.
The modern deck configuration of Onyx II allows for a spacious four-cabin layout for eight guests, including a full-beam master cabin and two double cabins aft, and one VIP cabin forward. There are also quarters for up to four crew on board.
The main saloon lies amidships and offers a dining table for eight guests plus a comfortable sofa with coffee table. On deck, the main cockpit area, otherwise known as the aft lounge, benefits from convertible dining tables and sofas on either side, while the aft cockpit is for navigation and sail control with twin helm positions. Onyx II also features a sizeable swim platform at the stern, offering easy access to the water.
On the technical side, she has a four spreader carbon fibre mast and Park Avenue boom, with three hull windows port and starboard as well as in the saloon, aft cabins and master suite.
With her BV classification, Onyx II is commercially coded and ready to charter. According to her broker, she is a "true contemporary classic", offering "not only a luxurious yachting experience but also an exceptional investment opportunity."
Under power, a John Deere engine gives the yacht for sale a cruising speed of nine knots and a maximum speed of 11 knots.
Currently lying in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Onyx II is now asking €5,950,000 with VAT paid.
