Designer Jay Aberdoni has revealed a new 50-metre Mediterranean cruiser concept known as Elacca. The design naturally has a focus on outdoor living, with exterior decking spanning 470 square metres and comprising open-air terraces, a crow's nest for "quiet reading", and a bow pool flanked with sunpads and casual seating.
"[Elacca] steps away from overly designed looks to reveal a world of space, light and a seamless connection to the sea," explained Aberdoni. "Here, luxury goes beyond the physical and becomes an experience."
Other al fresco highlights include the upper deck, which features a lounge space partially shaded by the hardtop, a sit-up bar and a dip pool with integrated sunpads. Several more lounge spaces have been arranged across Elacca's three outdoor decks, including the main deck aft and its swim platform.
Accommodation is for up to 10 guests, with renderings revealing light, beachy living spaces that incorporate grey-toned woods, low-profile furniture and muslin drapes. The bulwarks around Elacca can become drop-down balconies which, when combined with sliding glass panels, open the two indoor saloons out to their surroundings.
The tender garage of Elacca is located at the bow, with the garage space becoming a dedicated terrace for the owner's cabin while the tender is deployed.
In the past year, Jay Aberdoni has shared two superyacht concepts with BOAT International: the 80-metre Standby and the 73.3-metre Day One.
