Italian designer Mauro Giamboi has released a 40-metre catamaran concept with the "largest, most immersive beach club" in its size bracket. The model – known as the Axiom 40 – is tailored for both private and charter use and comes with three glass-edged infinity pools, three bars and an owner's suite with private office and terrace.
"This concept represents a leap forward in yacht design, combining form and function with visionary features rarely seen even in yachts twice her size," said Giamboi. "All wrapped in a striking, sculptural design that dares to do things differently."
Approximately one-third of the hull is dedicated to the cavernous beach club. Measuring over 120 square metres, this area is a combination of fold-down terraces, interior sliding doors from the twin hulls and VIP cabins with balconies that extend directly into the beach club. A glass-bottom infinity pool on the main deck filters natural light from above, while a waterfall feature conceals the central tunnel between the hulls.
Accommodation is five cabins, including a 55-square-metre owner's suite with private office, pool terrace and spa-style bathroom. The remaining accommodation is placed on the lower deck for easy access to the beach club, with the option to equip all four cabins with their own balconies.
The open-plan main saloon is an important social hub, arranged with a lounge, formal dining area and bar. The space also provides direct access to the large aft terrace, where guests can enjoy an infinity pool – the largest of the three – alongside several sunbathing and lounge areas.
Other highlights include the sundeck, which also offers a bar, pool and an optional open helm station, and the main deck dumbwaiter which serves the upper and sundeck for "seamless service".
"This catamaran offers the volumes, features, and lifestyle of a 60-metre monohull, all while maintaining the unmatched efficiency, stability and shallow draught advantages of a multihull," concluded Giamboi.
The concept is compatible with diesel-electric propulsion, with a maximum speed of 15-16 knots and a range of approximately 3,500 nautical miles. Other key specs include a 13.4-metre beam and a volume of 470-490GT.
Giamboi recently shared another design with BOAT International known as Edge.
