Boutique Italian shipyard Apreamare has provided a first look inside its first Maestro 88 model, Gispy IV. The 27.1-metre unit is the largest yacht built to date by Apreamare, which is best known for its classic-looking Gozzo dayboat range.
Designed by Marco Casali of Too Design with naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini, the semi-planing yacht is described as a "fully customised navetta" that "strongly recalls the family-feeling of the previous Maestro line" while introducing a fresh interpretation of style, form, and liveability.
Gipsy VI’s exterior profile features a navy-blue hull with a light-blue bootstripe. Large expanses of glazing run along the length of the hull and are intended to "continuously dialogue with the indoor spaces". The design incorporates long sliding glass windows to provide uninterrupted views and allow natural light into the interior spaces.
The interiors are styled in a palette of light, neutral colours, complemented by soft furnishings with an emphasis on natural light and open spaces. The main saloon, framed by large sliding glass windows, includes a dining table and lounge area. Teak finishes and clean, modern detailing contribute to the contemporary aesthetic. All interior spaces are fully customisable.
Accommodation is available for up to eight guests, while crew quarters can house up to four members. Gipsy VI features four cabins, four bathrooms and a relaxation area equipped with an electric piano, though future layouts can be tailored to individual requirements.
Materials used throughout include white slatted ceilings, teak and marble surfaces. The shipyard noted that the design approach allows for an "infinite choice of materials, fabrics, and colours," ensuring that owners can create a space tailored to their specifications.
Outdoor features include a spacious flybridge, designed for use both at anchor and underway, offering plenty of lounging space and a galley module with a wet bar. A streamlined T-Top, fitted with solar panels, provides shade while powering onboard systems. The yacht also includes a beach club area and a transom garage capable of housing a four-metre tender and multiple water toys.
The yacht can reach a top speeds of 22 knots and 18 knots cruising. Twin 1,600hp MAN engines will harness over 8,000 litres of fuel for a maximum range of 1,000 nautical miles at a speed of 10 knots. For the first hull, the owner has chosen a larger engine configuration: a pair of 2,000hp MAN drives.
This reveal follows the announcement that Apreamare had opened a new refit division exclusively for its own yachts at its facilities in Sorrento, Italy.
