With the Palm Beach International Boat Show fast approaching, BOAT takes a closer look at one of the show’s highly sought-after charter yachts for sale.

If you’re in the market for a yacht that punches well above its weight, Acacia is one to watch. This 40-metre Sunseeker offers the kind of space and amenities you’d expect from a 50-metre yacht, without the 50-metre price tag - according to Captain Marcus. In fact, her broker, Josh Gulbranson, describes her as "incredible value", making her an enticing option for buyers looking for something impressive but without the price tag to match.

Sporting a streamlined profile, impressive volume and a layout that maximises every inch, Acacia has proven to be a hit on the charter market and is consistently in high demand. As Captain Marcus puts it: “There’s nothing we don’t have on board that a 50-metre doesn’t.”

While the GRP tri-deck was built in 2011, Acacia underwent a major refit in 2022-2023, bringing her to pristine condition and ensuring she’s up to date. Works included the installation of Starlink for enhanced connectivity, while audio and video upgrades enhance the onboard entertainment experience. Behind the scenes, further mechanical updates have also been carried out.

To top it all off, she now boasts a strong inventory of water toys. Her lineup includes a Williams SportJet 3.9-metre tender, two waverunners, two Seabobs, two Lift eFoils, yacht golf, fishing gear, diving equipment, and more.

On board, her sundeck steals the show. Designed for both relaxation and entertainment, this expansive space offers panoramic views and plenty of room for guests to gather. The area is very versatile, whether you want to soak in the Jacuzzi, enjoy an al fresco meal, fit in a workout or simply unwind with a drink in hand. It even features a built-in cooling mist system to ensure everyone stays comfortable in warmer climates.

With an internal volume of 338GT, Acacia boasts generous interiors enhanced by expansive windows that fill the space with natural light. The main saloon features plenty of seating for large groups and includes a formal dining area forward. The full-beam skylounge is another highlight, featuring rich dark wood finishes and flooring. “I continuously hear the owner and charter guests praise the layout - it just feels like home – particularly when it comes to transitioning from the interior to the exterior spaces,” Captain Marcus notes.

The accommodation is equally impressive, with room for up to 12 guests across five en suite staterooms. The full-beam master suite on the main deck is particularly voluminous - as Captain Marcus puts it: "Space that is equal to what our clients have in their homes”. The four lower deck guest cabins offer flexibility, with two forward cabins that can convert between twin and queen setups, plus additional Pullman berths in each forward cabin to accommodate different guest configurations, whether for couples, friends or children.

Captain Marcus also points out the advantage of Acacia’s ability to accommodate up to nine crew members – being “more than most yachts in her class”. This extra crew capacity ensures exceptional service and attention to detail, with the crew’s talent for creating beautiful beach setups standing out as a highlight. The yacht’s design is also practical for service operations, featuring service pantries on both the main and bridge decks, along with a captain’s cabin positioned adjacent to the bridge.

Acacia is perfect for island-hopping and has spent the past few years cruising the Bahamas and Caribbean thanks to her shallow draught of 2.7 metres. But she’s just as capable when it comes to long-range cruising, boasting an impressive 4,000-nautical-mile range at displacement speeds. Powered by twin MTU 3,180hp engines, she cruises at 13.7 knots and can fast cruise at speeds of 22 knots when desired. This combination of shallow draught, solid range and impressive speed makes Acacia incredibly versatile - whether you’re navigating secluded island chains or setting off on an ocean-crossing voyage.

Acacia is listed for sale with Fraser and will be on display at the Palm Beach International Boat Show with an asking price of $8,900,000. To arrange a viewing and experience Acacia firsthand, contact her brokers, Josh Gulbranson and Trevor Carroll.
