The 67.06 metre motor yacht Global, listed for sale by Christopher Cooke at United Yacht Sales, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Camper & Nicholsons International Asia.
Originally built in steel and aluminium by US yard Bender, Global was delivered in 1982 as a workboat and was converted into a ‘sports utility vessel’ by Shadow Marine in 2007 under the direction of Boris Kiriloff. She offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in six suites comprising a master suite, four doubles and a twin. All guest cabins have entertainment centres, sea balconies and en suite bathroom facilities while the crew quarters sleep 13 staff.
Her main deck is the centre of activity, featuring a swim platform, large aft deck, and a helicopter hangar with an interior offering a galley, crew mess, games room, theatre/library, sauna and a gym. The theatre/library is luxurious and comfortable with spacious seating, including reclining couches and a 65-inch flatscreen television set.
Her heli-deck, measuring 15.24 metres by 10.36 metres, is much more than a landing pad, with an industrial grade fire suppression system, tie-downs and folding safety railings. As evidence of Global's versatility, this space doubles as a banquette area for large al fresco parties when not occupied by a helicopter. Her top speed is 13 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 10,000 nautical miles at 10 knots with power coming from two 1,250hp Caterpillar D399-SCAC diesel engines.
Global was asking $6,990,000.
