With the MYBA Charter Show set to return from 28 April to 1 May 2025, BOAT brings you all the key information you need to know ahead of the event.

Each year, the MYBA Charter Show marks the start of the Mediterranean yachting season, showcasing some of the most coveted yachts on the charter market to leading charter professionals. The 2025 edition returns to its roots at Portosole Marina in Sanremo, Italy - where the show first launched 35 years ago - offering the same beloved features, including dedicated work and relaxation spaces, meeting rooms, a breakfast area, the MYBA members' lounge and a seminar area.

Nicknamed the City of Flowers, Sanremo offers a picturesque setting for industry professionals to network and prepare for the busy charter season. Beyond the event, visitors can explore the city's many attractions, including the famed casino and vibrant flower market.

"The MYBA Charter Show’s return to Sanremo has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm, with 82 yachts registered at the time of writing and a long waiting list, as well as an impressive exhibitors list," says MYBA board member and chair of the MYBA Charter Show Panel Gunes Aysun. "We believe that this move honours MYBA’s heritage while elevating the show’s prestige."

Meanwhile, a few World Superyacht Awards nominees are also on the lineup, including 60-metre Alfa G, represented by Camper & Nicholsons, and 51.2-metre Solafide, listed with MYSEA.

A host of fresh-out-the-box yachts launched within the past year will also be in attendance, including 49.9-metre Eternal Spark, represented by Ocean Independence, the bold 43.5-metre catamaran This Is It, represented by IYC, 43-metre Gioia, represented by Denison Yachting, 36.9-metre DAWO, represented by Camper & Nicholsons, 28.5-metre At One, represented by EKKA Yachts, and 26.7-metre Queen Martina, represented by Fraser.

The MYBA Superyacht Chefs' Competition

Visitors and crews will be thrilled to know that the beloved annual MYBA Superyacht Chefs' Competition will return to the MYBA Charter Show 2025. This year, superyacht chefs are invited to showcase their culinary creativity under the 'Wellness on a Plate' theme by creating a healthy yet indulgent brunch.

The challenge is to create one savoury dish, one sweet dish and a bakery item or breadbasket, debunking the myth that healthy food can't be indulgent! The chefs will be judged on originality, choice of ingredients, flavour, presentation, technique and overall impression.

Alongside the chefs' competition, the interior crews will face their own challenge, designing a table setting inspired by the colour of jade - a modern 35th-anniversary gift, paying tribute to the show's milestone year.

Their goal is to complement the chefs' dishes while fostering a sense of unity with nature and promoting overall wellbeing. The crew will be evaluated on the accuracy of their table setting, attention to detail, alignment with the theme and overall impression.

The focus will be on keeping charter guests entertained during unfavourable weather and conditions - a fantastic opportunity for the crew to prepare for the upcoming season and prove they can bring their A game to work, no matter the weather.
