Each week we spotlight one of the world’s finest yachts for charter. This week, BOAT steps aboard the 39.3-metre S7, a striking yacht from Tansu Yachts, in Antigua.
Now finished in a crisp white (a departure from her original grey), S7 cuts a distinctive figure in Falmouth Harbour during the Antigua Yacht Show. Even among the towering 70-metre yachts around her, her angular, utilitarian design and enormous aft deck stand out.
Originally launched in 2016 under the name Sexy Fish, S7 has undergone a transformation, both inside and out. While her fresh white exterior and sleek, modern interior colour palette have shifted her aesthetic, her angular exterior lines and spacious, beach house-inspired living areas remain true to Tansu's signature style.
Her design is perfect for the Caribbean climate. As I step onto the aft deck, the space feels notably cooler. The wide deck is lined with sun loungers, shaded by striking black parasols. The layout blends indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly, with twin daybeds and separate dining tables that can be combined for larger gatherings, making it ideal for both relaxation and socialising.

In most cases, the hull’s design might not be a key selling point for a charter yacht. However, S7 stands out with a hull specifically engineered for superior handling and comfort, minimising movement and responding smoothly to swells. Dedicated stabiliser compartments in the hull, with electric stabilisers and thrusters, reduce noise and vibration, ensuring a serene experience for guests.
The interior: minimalistic
The main salon, located just forward of the vast aft deck, carries forward the yacht’s utilitarian theme, with grey textured carpets, white sofas draped with Hermès rugs, and a sleek black dining table at the forward end. Sunlight pours through expansive windows, giving the space a beachy feel, perfect for relaxation with ample seating for all guests.
The master cabin, located forward on the main deck, features a king-size bed with a minimalist vanity to starboard. Distinctive polished steel portholes punctuate the high bow, adding character. The master ensuite offers twin "his-and-hers" bathrooms, connected by a central "rain shower" for ultimate comfort.
Sun-deck and beyond
A large central staircase leads to the sundeck, where much of the charter experience unfolds. The area boasts a central bar offering panoramic views, with a sliding roof overhead for shade when needed. Expansive sunpads at the aft and additional lounging space on the foredeck provide plenty of room to unwind.
Life on board S7
Accommodation for 12 guests is spread across five en-suite cabins. The interiors maintain the same clean, minimalist style seen throughout the charter yacht, with grey furnishings, crisp white walls, and marble accents in the bathrooms. The layout includes three double cabins and two twin cabins, with extra Pullman beds offering versatility for larger groups.
Described by the broker as having a "beach-house aesthetic", S7 is an excellent choice for a laid-back family charter or group getaway this season.
