Denison Yachting has announced the sale of a 41-metre superyacht to be built at Aegean Yacht's facilities in Bodrum, Turkey. The new build, known as Project Obsidian Blade, was purchased using cryptocurrency and is based on the yard's 37.3-metre Project Tempest. Delivery will be "in time for the 2027 Mediterranean season", according to the yard.
"The client fell in love with [Project Tempest's] design and we have worked with the team at Aegean to customise the platform to their needs," explained Pierre Badin, who brought the buyer. "It has been a pleasure working with Aegean to secure this remarkable project for our client."
With a high bow and minimal glazing, Project Obsidian Blade evidently takes design cues from naval vessels, while interiors have been described as "beach-house-style".
The yacht will be able to accommodate up to 12 guests and six crew, including a full-beam master suite on the main deck with an en suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe.
The project's major exterior spaces will include an open aft deck capable of housing two large tenders, a sundeck with a central bar and al fresco dining, and several "multipurpose" aft and sun lounging areas. Further details will be revealed as the build progresses.
According to BOATPro, Aegean Yacht has three units on order or actively under construction, the largest of which is the 66-metre Haifa.
