Aegean Yacht
In the ancient shipbuilding port of Bodrum, Turkey, Aegean Yacht builds classic motorsailers and motor yachts in wood and steel.
History
The shipyard was founded in 1976 by Sinan Ozer, who remains at the helm as Aegean Yacht’s director. Early yacht-building projects primarily were wooden “gulets”, the traditional sailing vessels of the region. Over the years, Aegean has evolved into an international custom superyacht builder that has delivered yachts of up to 57 metres to its clients.
Notable Yachts
Aegean Yacht delivered the tri-masted luxury motorsailer Galileo in 2007. The 50-metre superyacht features a classic interior trimmed in intricate woodwork. Montigne, a 57-metre, six-stateroom sailing superyacht, launched in 2009. Her vast deck spaces include numerous inviting gathering areas, including a Jacuzzi spa.
Specialisations
Luxury yacht construction is just one of the many services that Aegean Yacht provides. The shipyard also handles refits at its two facilities, and offers yacht design, management and brokerage. The Aegean Yacht Charters department also arranges luxury yacht charter vacations on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast and in the Greek Islands for its clients. The charter fleet includes sailing superyachts built by the shipyard, including a 50-meter Aegean 500.
