Turkish yard Alia Yachts has announced the sale of a custom 65-metre superyacht already under construction at its Antalya site. Known provisionally as hull ALY651, the steel and aluminium project will become the yard's flagship once delivered.
Alia Yachts has reprised its collaboration with Dutch studio Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, which will be responsible for the project's exterior and interiors. The pair are known for their collaboration on the 45-metre SAN, which won at this year's BOAT Design & Innovation Awards.
Netherlands-based Diana Yacht Design is responsible for naval architecture, with hull ALY651 promising to "offer the volumes and amenities associated with an 80-metre yacht". This includes space for five cabins – including an owner's suite with a private lounge – and a hydraulic swimming pool which can be raised flush to create a large, open entertainment area on the main deck aft.
The yacht also offers a Jacuzzi on the sundeck and another, larger one on the foredeck for the owner's exclusive use.
"Alia Yachts is thrilled to be working with Sinot again on such a large and prestigious project," said Gökhan Çelik, president of Alia Yachts. "We share the same passion for yachting and a deep know-how born from decades of hard-won experience. This project will demonstrate how innovative design and modern technology are as much a part of our repertoire as fine materials and immaculate finish quality. We fully expect to be busier than ever at this end of the market."
According to BOATPro, Alia Yachts has seven units on order or under construction.
The Turkish yard recently celebrated the delivery of the 52.5-metre Limerence. Another full-custom creation. The baby blue build was initially designed as a support vessel and as such can carry a "treasure chest of toys", including two sailing catamarans.
