Alia Yachts delivers full-custom "beast" superyacht Limerence (ex Kaiyō)

Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts has announced the delivery of the 52.5-metre superyacht Limerence (ex Kaiyō) which is now cruising in Antibes, France, according to BOATPro.

Initially designed as a support vessel, Limerence quickly evolved into a utilitarian superyacht capable of carrying "a treasure chest of toys". This concept resulted in a "demanding" but rewarding build, according to the yard, with the superyacht constructed in three separate parts comprising the hull, superstructure and helideck.

Kaiyo has been described as a "beast" by the shipyard

Limerence owes her exterior and interior lines to Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture and is penned to showcase "the very best of [Alia Yachts'] capabilities", according to shipyard president Gökhan Çelik. The superyacht's defining feature is her raised aft deck, which doubles as a fully certified helicopter deck and a huge entertainment space, with configurations for a dancefloor, volleyball and basketball court.

Other highlights include a spacious beach club, al fresco dining on the aft deck and a sundeck with bar and loungers. Accommodation is for up to 10 guests, with quarters available for a crew of 12.

Limerence's first stirrings as a support vessel are clear from her storage capacity, with the superyacht able to house a 13-metre guest tender, an 8.2-metre crew tender, a submarine, two-wave runners, two sailing dinghies and two sailing catamarans in a covered tender bay on the main deck. Meanwhile, a 50-square-metre storage area is equipped with 20 modular waterpark elements, allowing crew to create a complex new setup every day.

There is also additional space for smaller toys, such as diving equipment, Seabobs, surfboards and electric bicycles.

"A yacht of this pedigree is not destined to spend much of its life in harbour," added Çelik. "True to her calling, Limerence has already planned the long crossing to the Caribbean en route to the United States – simple enough with her 4,100 nautical mile range and 15-knot speed. The owner has extensive plans to use the boat’s extensive technical capabilities as well as her capacity to entertain hundreds of guests in style."

On her technical side, Limerence is powered by two diesel engines that allow a top speed of 15 knots. Key numbers include a beam of 8.6 metres and an interior volume of 499GT.
