10 May 2019 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

The 30.2 metre sailing yacht Rapture, listed for sale by Simon Goldsworthy at Edmiston & Company, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Jeremy Peek at Pegaso in Italy.

Rapture was built by South Africa's Southern Wind Shipyard to a design by Farr Yacht Design and Nauta Design, and delivered in 2007 as the fifth hull in the 100DS series of advanced composite yachts. RINA classed, she has an exceptionally voluminous four cabin interior layout for eight guests in two doubles and two twins, all en suite, with crew areas aft. With just two owners since new, she is a fast and proven world-capable cruiser that has been professionally maintained.

Rapture was asking €3,650,000

The perfect yacht for family use, ocean racing and luxury charter, she offers the ultimate in style, comfort and performance and has proven herself in all areas. The forward cockpit has a large dining table to port and cocktail table to starboard. This can be open for al fresco dining or covered by two awnings, while the panoramic deck saloon has a comfortable U-shaped couch on the starboard side with a large dining area accommodating eight to ten guests on the port side.

Refits in 2013/2014 saw her receive new sails, her composite rigging replaced and her topsides and hull repainted. Under power, a 305hp Cummins engine gives her a maximum speed of 10.5 knots.

Rapture was asking €3,650,000.
