The 60 metre sailing yacht Perseus 3, jointly listed for sale by Fraser with Edmiston & Company, has been sold in an in-house deal at Edmiston.
With naval architecture by Ron Holland, Perseus 3 was built in aluminium by Italian yard Perini Navi and delivered in 2015 as the second hull in its new generation series of 60 metre sailing superyachts.
Interiors were designed in-house by Perini Navi and can accommodate up to 12 guests in five cabins comprising a full-beam master suite, three doubles and a twin plus Pullman berths. All guest cabins have entertainment centres and en suite bathroom facilities, while a further six cabins sleep up to 12 crewmembers aboard this yacht for sale.
She also features, for the first time ever on a Perini, a carbon bowsprit. This, combined with her 78 metre carbon fibre mast and carbon fibre standing rigging, allows her to set some of the largest downwind sails in the world. She carries a combined sail area of 10,000 square metres — comprising two gennakers, one code zero, one reacher, one blade, one spinnaker stay sail, one working jib and an imposing main sail.
In order to handle and control the sailing system, she features the new generation of captive reel winches and furlers. Her jib winches pull a maximum load of 30 tons and have a maximum line speed of 40 meters per minute. Under power, two MTU 8V2000 M72 diesel engines allow a range of 3,500 nautical miles at her cruising speed of 12.5 knots.
Perseus 3 was asking €25,995,000.
