15 November 2022 • Written by Brooke Murphy

The 59 metre Oceanco motor yacht Helios has been sold in-house at Edmiston with Robert Shepherd representing the buyer.

Helios, named after the Greek god of sun, was built in steel and aluminium by Dutch shipyard Oceanco and delivered in 2001. She features an exterior by the A Group and is offered for sale following a major 18-month refit at La Ciotat.

Helios was asking €37,000,000.

Inside, fresh and neutral interiors combine shades of gold and beige with light wood panelling. Accommodation on board is for a total of 12 guests across a full-beam master, four doubles and a twin. The crew quarters has space for 17 crew.

Fully-equipped bars are found in both her main and upper salons and entertainment systems feature throughout all her cabins. A vast collection of contemporary art also features on board.

A large outdoor TV screen allows the sun deck area to convert to a cinema, while a nightclub setup is also found on board complete with disco lights and a foam machine. Sunpads, an outdoor fitness area and a Jacuzzi are all complimented by an extensive array of water toys and a Fjord 44 chase boat.

As part of her 2021 refit, Helios was given a new exterior paint from top to bottom with teak decking replaced and restored. The interior meanwhile has been completely “reimagined”, with soft furnishings updated throughout, all guest cabins reupholstered, and new carpets fitted. Upgraded lighting systems and new A/V equipment were also included in the work.

Helios is powered by twin Caterpillar engines with a cruising speed of 13.5 knots and a top speed of 15.5 knots.

Helios was asking €37,000,000.
