Royal Hakvoort's 44.7-metre motor yacht Big Easy has been sold, with Ian Sherwood of Burgess and Brandon Kummer of Kitson Yachts representing the seller and Ed Dickinson of Northrop & Johnson introducing the buyer.
Delivered in 2002, Big Easy was constructed in steel and aluminium by the Dutch shipyard to a design from Diana Yacht Design, finished with elegant interiors by Winch Design. Constructed to Lloyd's class and MCA--compliant, the motor yacht was last refitted in 2022.
Accommodation on board is for 12 guests across six cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite located on the main deck complete with large en suite bathroom and a private lounge that doubles as a gym. On the lower deck there are three queen-sized cabins, all with en suites, in addition to a convertible twin cabin, and a "bunk" cabin.
Her Winch interiors are adorned in satin-finished wood and neutral, textured fabrics, which are complimented by pastel and navy blue accents. The spacious main saloon benefits from large "picture" windows which fill the room with natural light and create a bright and inviting atmosphere.
Here, guests can enjoy the comfortable C-shaped sofa and a games table, all contributing to a relaxed social setting, while a more formal dining area for 10 lies forward of the open-plan space. The sky lounge above is equally as welcoming, fitted with a bar, L-shaped sofa and circular table for card games or breakfast.
Outside, the sundeck is host to a raised Jacuzzi flanked by sunpads, a partially shaded al fresco dining space and "buffet" bars. Meanwhile, the bridge deck aft has a flexible space for tender storage or guest entertainment, while the main deck aft is home to another dining space and access to the foredeck seating area.
Powered by twin 970hp Caterpillar engines, the motor yacht cruises comfortably at 12 knots with a top speed of 14 knots and benefits from a range of 5,000 nautical miles. She is also fitted with Quantum zero-speed stabilisers.
Big Easy was last asking $13,900,000.
