Hot news just in from Camper & Nicholsons that Simon Goldsworthy has found a buyer for the 56 metre sailing yacht Salute, jointly listed for sale by Perini Navi USA and Burgess.
Salute was built in aluminium by Italian yard Perini Navi to ABS class with styling by Ron Holland and delivered in 2008. She is an evolution of the highly acclaimed Perini Navi 56m series, with a sloop rig, a forward facing cockpit and a chic Remi Tessier interior with strong Japanese influences.
She sports a major difference from her sisterships: she is single mast rigged. Her 75 metre aluminium mast – the tallest aluminium mast in the world – was designed and engineered by Perini Navi's Mast Division
MCA classed, Salute accommodates up to 12 guests in four sumptuous staterooms and two twin cabins, all with en suite facilities. Twin 965hp MTU engines give her a range of 4,750 nautical miles at 13 knots. She was voted best sailing yacht over 45 metres at the 2009 World Superyacht Awards.
Salute was asking $35 million.
