The 27.7 metre motor yacht Current Issue has now been sold, reports Thom Conboy at BYS.
Designed by in-house designer Don O'Keefe, Current Issue was built in aluminium by US yard Burger Boat with delivery in 1994 and most recently refitted in 2013. Located amidships on the lower level and in the most comfortable section of the yacht are two doubles and a twin for six guests, including a full beam master suite. All staterooms have full en suite facilities.
The main deck has a large, open teak-clad aft deck, walk around side decks, a spacious main saloon and a ‘country style’ galley forward. The main saloon is comfortable with elegant dark wood paneling and large windows aft and along each side. A lounging section is aft with a sofa and an array of upholstered chairs, cocktail and end tables. A fixed cabinet midway in the saloon houses a 42 inch flat screen television while the bright natural light from the surrounding panoramic windows can be moderated by Hunter Douglas silhouette blinds.
The raised pilothouse is amidships with access to the flybridge and boat deck level. Twin 1,080hp Detroit Diesel engines give Current Issue a range of 2,200 nautical miles.
Lying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Current Issue was asking $2,200,000. See full details, specs and a photo gallery of superyacht Current Issue
