Mengi Yay has offered a first look inside the first hull in its Virtus 39 superyacht series, Reverie. The 39.4-metre was delivered in August 2023 and is succeeded by sistership Twins, delivered in March 2024.
Interior and exterior design is owed to VYD Studio with engineering by Ginton Naval Architects. Reverie's stand-out feature is her high-voltage electrical system, allowing her to operate in "silent mode" for longer periods of time. Key numbers include an 8.8-metre beam, a draught of 2.8 metres and a volume of 437GT.
Much like the Virtus 44 and Virtus 47, the designer's focus was on maximising space and creating smart solutions that put "comfort standards [...] at the highest level", in spite of the yacht's "shorter body". Accommodation is across five cabins, including an en suite owner's cabin with a separate office and sofa seating. There are further quarters for three crew.
Interiors are clean and contemporary, with VYD Studio opting for light woods and a fresh colour palette of white, blue and umber. Floor-to-ceiling windows have made the main saloon light and airy, though the integrated LED lighting can provide a moodier ambience when necessary.
Leisure highlights include a clean, uncluttered foredeck that can be arranged with sunloungers, a formal dining area on the main deck and a sundeck bartop and lounge area. The swim platform can also be converted into an impromptu lounge with deckchairs and coffee tables.
Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, Reverie reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 12.2 knots and a range of 2,200 nautical miles.
According to BOATPro, the yard has eight additional units currently in build.
