GX Superyachts, the new brand of hybrid boatbuilder Greenline Yachts, has announced a 34-metre raised pilothouse model at this year's Palm Beach International Boat Show.
Known as the GX34, this is the brand's second model to hit the market and follows in the footsteps of its 42-metre flagship, the GX42. GX Superyachts itself was launched at last year's Monaco Yacht Show, with future plans for the range varying from 24- to 56-metre aluminium builds. Italian designer Marco Casali is responsible for the low-profile exterior, a hallmark of the fledgling builder, while Francesco Rogantin of NAMES has tuned the naval architecture.
"Our philosophy of responsible yachting remains at the design’s core, with hybrid electric propulsion and deeply efficient hull lines," said Vladimir Zinchenko, owner and founder of GX Superyachts, with the GX34 expected to have "30 per cent" lower emissions than standard.
The GX34 will come equipped with twin 200kW electric motors (with up to 2132kW of diesel power), offering silent and vibration-free propulsion over short distances. Solar power is optional, with the model designed with up to 46 panels across its superstructure and hardtop for energy generation. The result is a yacht that can run hotel systems (including air-conditioning) in silent electric mode for up to 48 hours. When battery levels fall too low, the generators will start up automatically and provide rapid three-hour charging.
All this culminates in an impressive range of 10,000 nautical miles at six knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 16 knots.
Accommodation is across five cabins, including a main deck owner's cabin with a king-size bed and 270-degree views. Interiors are customisable, though Casali has proposed a "sustainable", organic interior that prioritises natural woods, leathers and stones.
A "generously shaded" cockpit lounge would be the major social hub, though the entertaining space on the lower aft deck is a worthy competitor – particularly with the option of an integrated saltwater pool. The flybridge deck can also be configured according to the owner's wishes, including a space for informal dining and lounging, a dedicated bar or a Jacuzzi.
"The GX42 and the broader GX lineup represent the future of luxury yachting, and we are excited to bring these groundbreaking vessels to the Americas," said Cromwell Littlejohn, president and CCO of Northrop & Johnson. "This collaboration underscores our commitment to representing best-in-class yachts that push the boundaries of efficiency, technology, and luxury."
The GX42 recently celebrated a construction milestone, with the hull and superstructure now joined. The flagship model is under construction at SES Yachts' facilities in Tuzla, Turkey, with delivery scheduled for summer 2026.
