Turkish yard Alia Yachts has offered a first look inside the 45-metre superyacht SAN following her premiere at this year's Monaco Yacht Show.
With a brief that favoured the yacht’s profile to appear as low in the water as possible – without losing the feel of being onboard a superyacht – SAN’s exterior lines were the starting point for studio Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, who also designed the interiors. The raised pilothouse configuration makes use of all available space, whilst the wheelhouse has been pared down to occupy the least volume possible.
Inside, the main saloon boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that offer uninterrupted views for guests. The ceiling in the main saloon is 2.3 metres, which is particularly generous considering the yacht’s LOA.
Her warm, minimalist interiors incorporate a select palette of “premium” materials, including stained oak, eucalyptus and tan leather. The lower deck houses four en suite guest cabins, including a forward master suite with large windows. Bathrooms are fitted with golden beige Luget limestone selected by her owner.
The main deck includes folding bulwarks which expand the beach club area, while the aft deck offers shaded seating and sunpads. The foredeck adds another sunpad with adaptable seating and beneath it lies a hidden tender garage. SAN’s multi-functional deck furniture is suited for various uses, from casual lounging to formal dining.
On the technical side, SAN is powered by four Volvo Penta engines which allow for a top speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots. Naval architecture is owed to Lateral Naval Architects.
This follows the news that Alia Yachts had sold a 43-metre, full-custom project, currently under construction at its facilities in Antalya, Turkey. The "world cruiser" has been designed by Vripack for a family that intends to take extensive voyages.
