7 November 2024 • Written by Dea Jusufi

Custom Line, a brand of Ferretti Group, has announced the launch of the fifth unit in its flagship planing series, the Custom Line 140 (CL140).

The 42.7-metre model is the result of a collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee, which handled exterior styling, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department which oversaw the interior design. The exterior is distinctly sporty, featuring taut lines, a sharp bow and dark plate glass. Key specs include an 8.5-metre beam and a draft of 2.4 metres.

This unit was inspired by residential architecture and makes use of "fine materials", including natural teak, eco-leather and a selection of grey and blue marble in the bathroom areas – with the latter meant to evoke "the colours and movements of the sea". The sporty, contemporary theme continues indoors with metallic paint and metal mesh details incorporated throughout .

The CL140 series has a maximum speed of 21.5 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots.

According to BOATPro, Custom Line has three yachts currently in build or on order, the largest of which comes from its 49.9-metre flagship series, the Navetta 50. The first unit, named Asante, debuted at this year's Monaco Yacht Show.
