Italian yachting giant Ferretti Group hosted a private concert for its clients, dealers and select members of the press this weekend (7 September) at the Yacht Club de Monaco. The headline act was Robbie Williams, Britain's most successful solo artist, performing an exclusive 'Rock DJ' set on a stage suspended over the water.
The concert formed part of the Group's Private Preview, which signals the start of the Mediterranean yacht show season. Now in its ninth year, the Private Preview presents a pre-show opportunity for clients to visit Ferretti Group's fleet, tour the new models and trial the yachts in an exclusive setting.
This year's Private Preview welcomed 37 boats and seven world premieres, including the new 23.7-metre INFYNITO 80 from Ferretti Yachts and the 38-metre Custom Line Navetta 38, the first unit of which is named Telli. Riva's all-electric el-Iseo also made an appearance, alongside the much-awaited wallywind110, the first in a new line of sailing yachts from heritage brand Wally.
Speaking about the concert, Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi said: “A big thank you to Robbie Williams for the style and extraordinary talent with which he won the hearts of our guests and friends. He entertains his audience with an incredible joy and generosity that are perfectly in tune with the passion Ferretti Group brings to the creation of ever more beautiful dream boats".
He added: "This stellar Private Preview welcomes in a remarkable season for Ferretti Group and its fantastic new products. We'll carry the enthusiasm and energy of this event in our hearts for the rest of the season and our memories of it will remain truly unforgettable.”
The event was opened by Ferretti Group client and champion F1 driver Charles Leclerc, and was attended by H.R.H. Prince Albert of Monaco and Yacht Club de Monaco general secretary Bernard d'Alessandri. Fashion designer Domenico Dolce and Italian actor Pierfrancesco Favino were also among the 600-strong guest list.
Alongside live entertainment, attendees dined on a three-course meal by three Michelin-star chef Antonio Mellino.
The 2024 Private Preview comes at a busy time for the brand, which has just reported record-breaking revenues in H1 2024.
