Italian shipyard Ferretti Yachts, a brand of Ferretti Group, has announced a new, 24.5-metre flybridge model known as the Ferretti Yachts 800. The project, which is part of a larger "range renewal" that began in 2018, is under construction at the yard's facilities in Cattolica, Italy.
The sporty, Filippo Salvetti-designed model is an evolution of the Ferretti 800, which ran from 2010 to 2016 and produced units such as Alin and After V. According to the yard, the model's most "innovative features" are the 40-square-metre flybridge and the optional sliding door on the starboard side of the saloon, which creates distinct zones for greater privacy.
Interiors are by long-standing collaborator IdeaeITALIA, with the studio dedicating special focus to the "flow" of the main deck. This resulted in an "innovative" solution to separate guest and crew flow that sees the galley open onto both the main hallway and the helm station.
"Our aim was to breathe life into a yacht concept that's future-forward without sacrificing the brand's signature refinement," said IdeaeITALIA. "It's a project that redefines the on board experience by combining aesthetics with functionality."
There are two decor proposals to choose from: an earthy, "classic" style and the "contemporary" option, which features fabrics inspired by the colours of the sea. Accommodation is across a master suite, a VIP cabin and two guest cabins, all located on the lower deck.
The al fresco experience centres around the flybridge, which is "larger than the category average" at 40 square metres and arranged with a dining table, bar and fibreglass sofa with storage. Freestanding furnishing by Talenti elevate the space, while the helm station forward offers further comfortable seating and "excellent visibility".
The cockpit is also worthy of note, installed with a "spectacular glass parapet" designed to extend the view outside and towards the beach club.
The model can reach a top speed of 27 to 31 knots and a cruising speed of 15 to 27 knots, depending on the propulsion package selected. Other key specs include a 5.9-metre beam and ceiling heights of two metres.
According to BOATPro, Ferretti Yachts has an impressive 16 units on order or actively under construction. The Italian yard recently celebrated the launch of the first Ferretti 940 model, also designed by Filippo Salvetti and IdeaeITALIA.
