The 25.9-metre Duretti motor yacht Big Boss has been damaged by a fire while docked in Dubai Harbour. The blaze began on board the vessel on Sunday morning (27 April).
Authorities received the incident report at 8.24am and arrived on the scene four minutes later. Evacuation and firefighting operations followed, with the fire successfully extinguished within two hours according to local reports.
The extent of damage is unknown, though bystander footage does reveal that the yacht has begun to sink from the stern.
Big Boss is one of two Duretti 85 models built by UAE-based yard Dubai Marine. Designed for day cruising, model highlights include a partially sheltered flybridge, al fresco dining on the aft deck and a bow sunpad.
No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
