Dutch yard Feadship has launched a subsidiary company called Feadship Refit & Services, which will provide global support and quality control to the yard’s international fleet.

The company’s customer support strategy “My Feadship” will aim to consolidate a number of operations previously offered by three separate Feadship yards.

The programme’s responsibilities will be spilt into three further divisions.

The Feadship Rebuild will take responsibility for the yard’s major refits.

This will consolidate the refit, repair, service and after sales activities which were previously handled by the three Feadship yards in Aalsmeer, Kaag and Makkum. It will also take control of the refit design and engineering operations, which have previously been run by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects.

This division will also incorporate the fourth Feadship yard due for completion in May.

The new company will consolidate a number of services previously offered by Feadship's separate Amsterdam based yards

The Feadship Services Network will connect owners to leading refit yards in the Mediterranean and the US should it not be possible to deliver a Feadship to the Netherlands.

The new division will include a structural agreement with four yards, Amico & Co in Italy, Monaco Marine in France, MB92 in Spain and Rybovich in the US.

“These yards have been chosen because of their excellent reputation and the fact that Feadship has successfully worked with them on previous Feadship refit and maintenance projects,” said Pier Posthuma de Boer, the director of Feadship Refit & Services.

Lastly, the Feadship Authentication Certificate will be responsible for issuing a quality standard for new builds and existing Feadships.

New builds will be issued a certificate at launch while Feadships already launched can invite a survey team to inspect the yacht and confirm the Feadship standard has been maintained.

The yard said the new company would be focused on “protecting the pedigree of the Feadship fleet.”

Posthuma de Boer added: “The setting up of this new company reflects our commitment to all Feadship owners who wish to safeguard their yacht’s Feadship brand status. We are offering a full suite of services that guarantee a Feadship’s essence is maintained throughout her life.”
