The Italian Sea Group has offered a first glimpse inside the 88-metre Project Spyder, which began construction in February 2024 at the Admiral shipyard in Carrara, Italy. The Espen Øino-designed yacht will be the second-largest build to date under the Admiral brand.

The 3,000GT yacht was sold in 2023, with Kitson Yachts finalising the sale on behalf of an American owner. Kitson Yachts is also supervising the build until her scheduled delivery in 2027, with Richard Hein and The A Group also assisting during the construction process.

Project Spyder will have a number of impressive features, including a 10.3-metre-long swimming pool with glass segments in the floor that allow light to pour into the 100-square-metre beach club below. Meanwhile, the foredeck will house a sports court that can be used for pickleball or basketball and will be overlooked by an observatory suite that also functions as a children's playroom.

Elsewhere, the yacht has a fully equipped sundeck with a gym and Jacuzzi. Further opportunities to relax and unwind will be located in the beach club, where there will be a massage room, spa and bar, as well as direct access to the water through four unfolding sea terraces.

Accommodation is across nine cabins, including a master suite with a fully private aft deck

A beam of 13.8 metres and a five-deck layout create ample accommodation for up to nine guests, with a full-beam owner's cabin complete with a private terrace. Dedicated tender storage will house both an 8.5-metre tender and a 10-metre tender.

Project Spyder marks the first collaboration between the Admiral shipyard and designer Espen Øino, while FM Architettura will helm the "bright" interiors that make full use of the yacht's beam. The studio has credited the owner and family for their input into the design of the yacht.

FM Architettura Design Studio, said: “We are delighted to be part of the beautiful Spyder project, made for a beautiful and very close multigenerational family."

Michael Tabor, co-founder of Kitson Yachts, added: "The client’s focus was to have a seamless transition between the exterior and interior. The grandkids and entire family played a pivotal role in the build process, resulting in a fantastic layout with both beauty and function in mind." Tabor also thanked the late Giuseppe Taranto, who was integral to the project in the 12 months prior to his death.

Project Spyder will be equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system.

Also under construction at Admiral is the 98-metre Project Titanium, the future flagship of the Italian Sea Group, and the 82-metre Project Galileo, both of which will be delivered in 2025.
