With the Fort Lauderdale boat show coming to a close today (November 9) this amazing aerial footage gives a fantastic perspective on the biggest boat show in the world.
With more than 1,200 yachts on display and an estimated 100,000 visitors expected to have visited, the 65th edition of the boat show has not been a disappointment.
The footage from above the 280,000 square-metre site gives a unique view on the huge variety of luxury yachts on display. As well as yachts for sale being shown off, an incredible range of new yachts have also been presented to the public.
This year the “Yachting Capital of the World", Fort Lauderdale, has attracted industry professionals from across the world.
Some of the world’s leading yacht builders have used the show as an opportunity to make announcements about their latest sales and projects. Heesen unveiled its latest superyacht Project Nina while Hatteras revealed plans for its new 90 Motor Yacht.
As well as the superyachts on display, the footage also shows some of the tenders and day boats at the show. One day boat that has been drawing attention is Vendetta, which was designed by music legend Billy Joel. Launched in 2005 Vendetta is now for sale.
The footage is enough to make any yacht geek jealous and if you don’t want to miss out on the action next year then mark your diary for November 3-7 2016.
