Hewn into the cliffs 22 kilometres from Positano, Furore Grand Hotel is an exciting new addition to the Amalfi Coast. The property may be new, but it has heaps of classical Italian charm with its white marble lobby, immaculate gardens and clifftop terraces. Carved into the rocky coast on Mykonos’s quieter eastern edge, Cali Mykonos offers land-based luxury for the superyacht crowd. A five-minute walk from the heart of Saint-Tropez village, Arev opened its doors in 2024. The traditional-looking blue-shuttered building conceals its lively interior design, which feels like a cool, old-school haven brought to life with a bold colour scheme of red, deep blue and yellow, as well as nautical prints. Arev teamed up with the world-famous local hotspot Bagatelle for its restaurant and revived an old Saint-Tropez favourite, The Strand. OKU Bodrum | Turkey

Set on Bodrum Peninsula’s northern coast, OKU Bodrum is an adults-only clifftop retreat that will open its doors this summer. OKU’s ethos is intrinsically laid-back and, like the brand’s three other properties, will feature private pools, rattan finishes and earthy design. The hotel will open with a poolside Japanese fusion restaurant and a boho beach bar on a private jetty. Days here can be spent in the sunken lounges sipping cocktails to lo-fi DJ sets. Curved around the Anse Intendance beach on Mahé Island, Cheval Blanc opened its doors for its inaugural season in December. With 52 immaculate villas perched either on the white beach or hidden in the green hills, Cheval Blanc is a contemporary property that is focused on the beauty of the immediate environment. It has been designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, who also designed the sensational Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives. Nihi Rote | Indonesia

Designed to make guests feel they are staying at the end of the earth, Nihi Rote is an upcoming off-grid opening on Rote Island in West Timor, Indonesia. Four Seasons Hotel Osaka | Japan

The Four Seasons has opened its fourth property in Japan, this time within the new One Dojima building in the city of Osaka. It has 130 rooms and 24 suites, but guests can also opt to stay on the dedicated Gensui floor for a contemporary ryokan experience. The hotel’s signature restaurant overlooks the glittering city and serves up authentic Cantonese cuisine, while cocktail bar Bar Bota offers some of the finest Japanese whiskeys. Following an all-encompassing rebuild, the W Maldives is now an entirely new offering in line with the W’s rebrand. Located on Fesdu Island in North Ari Atoll – which is a mere 25-minute seaplane ride from Malé – the new W is home to 77 revamped thatched villas, each with private pools, and four new bars and restaurants. Located in one of the most expansive protected marine zones in the world, Islas Secas is a secluded resort that spans 14 volcanic islands in the Gulf of Chiriquí on the Panama’s Pacific coast. This season the resort opens a clifftop property surrounded by nature, crashing waves and a private beach. In 2024, meanwhile, the resort unveiled a 770-square-metre villa, Casa Cavada, a private four-bedroom property with a chef, a 25-metre pool and huge terrace. Oetker Collection’s The Vineta Hotel | US

The Oetker Collection – behind legendary hotels including Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc – has made its first foray in the US this year and will soon be opening the doors of The Vineta Hotel in Palm Beach. With its pale-pink façade, the new hotel is designed in the Mediterranean Revival style for which Palm Beach is famed. Jumby Bay Island | Antigua

On the powder-white sands of Jumby Bay Island, a 121-hectare private paradise off the north-east coast of Antigua, Jumby Bay is a perfect Caribbean escape for superyachts. This season, the hotel sees the arrival of one of the UK’s most beloved beach clubs and restaurant, The Hut, to its neighbouring island. Nilo Miami Namron Hospitality | US

The luxurious barefoot hospitality group Namron – which now has nine properties in Mexico – is to open its first hotel in Miami this year. Nestled in the vibrant North Beach neighbourhood – fondly dubbed NoBe by locals – the new property, Nilo, is a calming oasis, moments away from Miami’s bustling marinas. With 29 rooms, Nilo is a two-storey hotel encircling a lush courtyard and pool area.
