The 85.3 metre SilverYachts motor yacht Bold has joined the market for the first time since its launch. Offered for sale privately, the all-aluminium explorer sports a striking military-inspired exterior by Espen Øino and was delivered by Australian yard SilverYachts in 2019.
Technically classed as a “sports activity vessel”, Bold is packed with features that make her well-deserving of her explorer status. A 400-square-metre open aft deck plays host to a helipad and AW109S Grand helicopter with bulwarks that unfold to provide clearance for landings and create terraces over the water, alongside a 12-tonne crane used to deploy the yacht's trio of tenders.

Bold's interior layout is unconventional; she was designed to feel more like a New York City loft apartment than a superyacht. "We don’t need to impress with golden staircases,” the owner said in an interview with BOAT International.
A glass-enclosed loft deck occupies over 300 square metres of open-plan space with ceilings up to 2.75 metres in height in some places. At its heart lies a large main saloon with four brightly coloured sofas that frame the perimeter of a custom geometric carpet laid over parquet flooring made of 2.5-millimetre-thick oak on honeycomb. Aft and adjacent is a winter garden, which too can be enclosed by glass and enjoyed all year round, or alternatively left open to the elements to allow a sea breeze to flow through in warmer climates.
Down below, Bold can sleep up to 16 guests in eight staterooms comprising a master suite, three VIP suites and four double cabins, with further accommodation for a crew of 22.
Powered by twin MTU diesel engines, Bold has a top speed of 23 knots with a range of 7,000 nautical miles.
