The 43.6-metre ketch-rigged sailing yacht Dione Star has joined the market with Dennis Frederiksen and Daria Pop of Fraser.
Built in 1990 by Dutch yard Scheepswerf Friesland, the steel and aluminium vessel was designed by Diana Yacht Design with interiors by Antonio Bettuelli and Mario Pedol. She was refitted at Cantieri Navali di Sestri in 2011, including a full repaint, and had a further refit in 2019.
Her layout allows an owner’s party of 12 to sleep on board, with three doubles and two twin cabins on the lower deck, along with quarters for up to 13 crew members in six cabins. There is the possibility of converting the library into a stateroom with its own bathroom.
Dione Star has plenty of deck space both inside and on her teak decks for long-term cruising. The saloon leads to a separate formal twin-tabled dining room, while on the upper deck, an al fresco dining area is protected by awnings. Forward of this, the deck can be transformed into an “oversized” sunbathing zone.
Three large tenders, jet skis and other water toys are launched via cranes. When the jet skis are launched guests can enjoy cooling off in two sizeable pools on the foredeck.
The 261GT, BV-classed yacht for sale has a cruising speed under her single 543hp Baudouin diesel of 7.5 knots and a maximum speed of nine knots. The brokers pointed out that she has low fuel consumption and a long range of 4,000 nautical miles, making her "perfect for cruising in remote places".
Dione Star is asking €4,850,000.
