The 46.7 metre Royal Denship explorer yacht Big Aron has been listed for sale by John DeCaro at All Ocean Yachts.
Built in steel and aluminium by Danish yard Royal Denship - Assens to a design by Ole Steen Knudsen, she was delivered in 2004 as a world-girdling expedition yacht and most recently refitted in 2020. She accommodates 10 guests in large staterooms. The master suite is situated on the upper deck and has a walk-in wardrobe and adjoining office and lounge while the four guest staterooms are below deck, consisting of two king-sized bed cabins and two twins, all with en suite bathroom facilities.
With her ice-strengthened hull and 6,500 nautical mile range, she was built to travel great distances to any part of the globe. Her beam of 10.36 metres and lower service deck create a gross tonnage of 601 gross tones, placing her in the size range of interior volume of much larger vessels.
The main deck is host to a large saloon and formal dining room and the galley is located forward. The sky lounge is situated on the bridge deck while aft on the top deck can be found a 12 cubic metre wading pool rather than a hot tub, a bar and generous space for sunbathing with all-round views. Twin 1,100hp Caterpillar diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 13 knots topping out at 15 knots.
Lying in Salvador, Brazil, Big Aron is asking $16,479,000.
