The 48.3 metre Rossinavi motor yacht Polaris I, listed for sale by Hans Van Doornmalen and Simon Goldsworthy at Edmiston & Company, has been sold in an in-house deal.
Built in aluminium by Italian yard Rossinavi to a design by Team 4 Design, Polaris I was delivered in 2014 as the second yacht in the yard’s Prince Shark series and went on to collect a Neptune trophy at the 2015 World Superyacht Awards. The interior, also by Team 4 Design, accommodates 12 guests in six commodious cabins consisting of a master suite on the main deck, with three VIP suites and two twins on the lower deck, all with en suite bathroom facilities.
The interior décor is mostly uniform in materials and colours, with Emperador marble on the principal floors and opaque, bleached oak for the furniture. In the cabins, the furniture in wengé contrasts with touches of light oak and the bedheads in light capitonné leather.
Outside, a highlight is the very large sun deck. It covers more than 120 square metres and is organised into three areas. Aft is a relaxation space with a sun bed, sun loungers and chaise longues. Moving forward is a U-shaped sofa with two tables that can be joined together to create an expansive al fresco dining area while opposite are a further three sofas with a coffee table forming an intimate conversation area. Further forward still is a bar and an observation sofa facing forward to enjoy the sea views. A major feature on this deck is a 3.5 metre pool with a waterfall and the hard top is equipped with a system of adjustable thin slats that can allow the sun in or block it out according to the mood of the guests or the time of day.
Her powerful 3,460hp MTU engines allied to a semi-planing hull give her a cruising speed of 15 knots and a maximum speed of 21 knots.
The judges at the 2015 World Superyacht Awards were particularly impressed by her spacious, fully featured deck areas and a well laid out interior that meets all the needs of the owner and their guests as well as the comfort and working requirements of the crew.
Polaris I was asking €21,000,000.
