THE ITINERARY
St George’s
Start your journey on board 60-metre Formosa in the harbour of St George’s, a town whose historic significance has earned it the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Spend the afternoon getting acquainted with the yacht and kick off your trip by watching chief stew Nicole Temblett create the yacht’s signature cocktail, the Formosa Margarita.
Castle Harbour
Cruise over to the Castle Harbour and soak up the breathtaking views of the surrounding fortifications. Its sheltered, crystalline waters, immaculate beaches and craggy coves make it an ideal spot for getting out the Seabobs to explore the vibrant coral reefs and colourful marine life.
North Rock
For keen anglers, a trip seven nautical miles northeast to North Rock provides the perfect setting for a day of fishing. With the option to add a sportfishing vessel to your trip, guests can try their hand at catching amberjack, barracuda, snapper and tuna, which will later be prepared by the chef for dinner.
Non-anglers can tender to shore to indulge in a relaxing treatment at the Natura Cave Spa at Grotto Bay Beach Resort.
The sheltered, calm waters make it an ideal spot for getting out the Seabobs
Royal Naval Dockyard
Following breakfast and an early morning cruise down to the Great Sound, step ashore and discover the historical Royal Naval Dockyard that houses the National Museum of Bermuda. After lunch on board, Formosa will weigh anchor and cruise to Bermuda’s renowned shipwrecks, Constellation and Montana.
Here, the onboard diving instructor can help guests safely navigate the waters and see the kaleidoscopic marine life that thrives in the wrecks. In the evening, unwind with a classic Bermudian Dark ’n’ Stormy at sunset.
Bermuda Railway Trail
Awake to a delicious breakfast before heading ashore for a brisk walk down to the Bermuda Railway Trail towards the historical Scaur Hill Fort.
Afterwards, take the tender south to the famous Somerset Bridge – the smallest drawbridge in the world – past beautiful bays and historic wrecks. Here, guests will find the picture-perfect Ely’s Harbour, where you can enjoy the rest of the day relaxing with a barbecue on the beach.
Granaway Deep
Head up to Granaway Deep, southwest of Hamilton Harbour. The protected anchorage is close enough to tender into Hamilton, Bermuda’s capital, but still far enough out to feel secluded. The city offers a plethora of activities, countless restaurants and shops and golf nearby at Belmont Hills Golf Course.
In the evening, Formosa’s chef will prepare a delicious meal of local Bermudian delicacies, including spiny lobster and fish chowder with a twist.
St George's
Cruise back east to St George’s while making the most of Formosa’s amenities in your final hours. Finish the trip with a historical tour of St George’s guided by a local expert and learn all about the island’s smuggling past, which played a pivotal role during the American Civil War. The crew will then see you safely off to the airport.
