20 February 2015 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

A new 61 metre motor yacht called Golden Age, currently under construction at Dutch yard Hakvoort, has been sold by Moran Yacht & Ship.

This sale is the third for Moran Yacht & Ship this year and represents their largest yacht sale so far in 2015. Being built in steel and aluminium, Golden Age will also be the largest project built by Hakvoort to date. The yacht will feature a private owner’s deck plus six guest suites on the main deck with superlative views. In addition to being the largest yacht from the yard, this has also been one of the fastest projects ever to materialise at Hakvoort.

The interior and exterior come from the drawing boards of Sinot Yacht Design and reflect a classic contemporary style while naval architecture, construction and engineering design for this project are by Diana Yacht Design.

Other features include a dedicated massage room, a hammam plus a steam shower on the spacious lazarette and there is also an eight metre swimming pool on the sundeck while two large tenders are carried to port and starboard. Twin Caterpillar diesel engines will give her a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 15.5 knots

Now under the supervision of the Moran new construction team, delivery of Golden Age is scheduled for delivery before the end of 2015.
