The 42-metre Mengi Yay sailing yacht L'Aquila has had a price reduction of €500,000 and a change of agent and is now listed with David Legrand and Alain Auvare of Fraser.
Built with a steel hull and aluminium composite superstructure to RINA class, L'Aquila was delivered in 2021 by Mengi Yay as the shipyard's flagship sailing yacht.
Naval architecture and exterior design is by Ginton Naval Architects, complemented by a colourful interior.
Accommodation on the lower deck is for up to 10 guests in five cabins, comprising a full-beam master suite aft of the engine room plus two VIP cabins and two double cabins amidships. Crew quarters are positioned forward.
The broker said that the layout concept revolves around hosting family or friends in a contemporary yet luxurious environment and that "L'Aquila features exhilarating deck spaces, including a large flybridge with a bar, seating and sun pads, as well as a stunning half-deck area leading to a beautiful swim platform".
L'Aquila's rigging carries over 700 square metres of sail, while the 293GT yacht for sale's twin 911hp Yanmar engines give 2,850 nautical miles range under power at a cruising speed of 10 knots. Her top speed is 15 knots. Extensive banks of service batteries are able to provide up to 24 hours of operation without the use of generators.
L'Aquila has a generous beam of nine metres and a four-metre draft suited to owners looking to access shallower anchorages and harbours.
Lying in Turkey, L'Aquila is now asking €9,900,000.
