The 54-metre Mangusta Gransport motor yacht El Leon has been sold with Tommaso Chiabra of Royal Yacht International representing the seller.
Built in aluminium in Italy by Overmarine, the model was designed by Alberto Mancini with Overmarine's in-house team and delivered in 2018.
Her low-profile lines belie a spacious interior and vast deck spaces, highlights being at both ends: the trapezoidal shallow pool on the foredeck – with a glass bottom filtering light into the master cabin – and a cavernous, shaded "club on the sea" with terrace aft opening on three sides.
She accommodates up to 11 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam master suite on the main deck, boasting a private fold-out balcony to starboard, the windows becoming a glass deck when open. Floor-to-ceiling windows make for a bright saloon and wide planks are laid athwartships, rather than longitudinally, to "enhance the beam" of the yacht.
The 100-square-metre flybridge is well protected by its hard top for al fresco meals and is also used for yoga sessions or exercising.
Four MTU diesels, with a total 10,400hp output, power the 499GT yacht at a top speed of 30 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots. The range is transatlantic at 3,800 nautical miles. El Leon has a shallow draught allowing access to anchorages that bulkier superyachts of the same length cannot reach.
El Leon was asking €29,000,000 and lying in Italy.
