$20M Price Drop on Explorer Yacht SuRi

3 March 2020 • Written by Malcolm Maclean

The 63.39 metre explorer yacht SuRi, listed for sale by Yachtzoo has seen a price reduction of $20,000,000, one of the biggest ever announced.

First launched in 1978 by Halter Marine, she was built from steel to Bureau Veritas standards. Refitted in 2012 and again in 2016, this 1,355GT displacement yacht now features a new timeless interior décor by Krilloff & Associates that creates an elegant, yet comfortable atmosphere.

SuRi is now asking $23,000,000

Her accommodation is split between seven staterooms, including a master suite, four VIPs, a double cabin and a twin cabin, while a convertible cabin takes the total guest capacity to 15. Meanwhile, the crew quarters on this yacht for sale allow for a total staff of 19 people in eight cabins.

Key features include her glass-enclosed lounge, aft of the saloon, which allows guests to enjoy the views as she cruises through some of the world’s most remote destinations. On-board entertainment options are plentiful with 19 Samsung televisions connected to a Kaleidescape system. The large aft deck crane allows for the easy launch and retrieval of her bevvy of superyacht water toys, including five Jet Skis and two amphibious Gibbs Quadskis. An on-board water-maker and upper-deck helipad further adds to her explorer yacht credentials.

Power comes from a pair of 1,200hp Caterpillar 5508C diesel engines, which allow for a top speed of 13 knots. When trimmed back to her cruising speed of 11 knots, she boasts a globe-trotting maximum range of 7,400 nautical miles, thanks to an impressive fuel capacity in excess of 220,000 litres.

SuRi is now asking $23,000,000.
