Edmiston & Company sells Feadship superyacht Nara

5 May 2014 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

Hot news from Edmiston & Company that Jonathan Barbe's joint listing with Merle Wood, Feadship’s 60.55m classic motor yacht Nara, is now sold in an in-house deal.

At the time, Nara was the largest yacht built by Feadship and was delivered in 1979. She is unusual in having the same private owners for the last 30 years and has never been chartered. With more guest cabins – ten – than is the norm for a 60m yacht, Nara was an attractive proposition for a buyer looking for a classically styled pedigree yacht offering generous en suite accommodation for 20 guests.

Continuously maintained throughout her life, Nara is powered by twin 3155hp MTU engines giving her a cruising speed of 16 knots and she is fitted with zero speed stabilisers.

Nara was asking €9.9 million.
