The 52.4-metre schooner Dona Francisca is newly listed for sale with Jochen Brill of Northrop & Johnson, who said she is "the world's largest carbon-fibre schooner".
Delivered from Astilleros Buquebus in Uruguay in 2014, the classically styled yacht was designed by Javier Soto Acebal.
Carbon fibre is used for the hull and spars and a refit between 2023 and 2024 included "aesthetic carpentry, rigging, a paint job and comprehensive maintenance". The broker also said that her exterior is "characterised by teak, mahogany and bronze elements, exuding timeless charm".
Dona Francisca is designed to be sailed with a crew of only five – thanks to hydraulically-operated sail-handling systems – and accommodates an owner's party of eight in a full-beam owner's cabin plus twin-berthed guest cabins. The saloon and dining room are classically styled, illuminated by old-style lamps and natural light from deck prisms.
Built to RINA class, the 206GT sailing yacht for sale has a low draught of 3.5 metres, giving access to shallow anchorages. Enhanced manoeuvrability is achieved through a large rudder and two Maxpower R600 thrusters, according to the broker. She can achieve 10 knots cruising speed under power and 17 knots under sail.
Dona Francisca is asking $19,900,000 and lying in Valencia, Spain.
