28 May 2021 • Written by Malcolm Maclean

The 43.28m Christensen motor yacht Lady Bee has been sold with both buyer and seller represented by Lon McClosky of Fraser.

Lady Bee, formerly called Namoh, was built by US shipyard Christensen. When she was launched in 1995, the three-decked, GRP-constructed Lady Bee was regarded as one of the most innovative yachts of her size built in the United States. Not only was she the first US-built yacht to feature an elevator and Christensen’s groundbreaking ocean terrace, but she also was the only such yacht of her size to offer a six-stateroom configuration.

Lady Bee was asking $8,900,000

She is able to accommodate up to 12 guests in six large, comfortable staterooms. Forward, the full-beam (8.36 metres) master stateroom has a walkaround king-size bed and his and hers bathrooms. There are five additional staterooms, four doubles and one twin.

One of the notable features of Lady Bee is her spacious interior. Her main saloon is finished in glossed ebony with large, floor-to-ceiling windows. On the aft bulkhead is a game table with two chairs. The formal dining saloon is forward, offering seating for 12 at the custom table, separated from the lounge by an entertainment centre. Her skylounge is arranged with an L-shaped sofa around a cocktail table and offers wonderful visibility through large windows and a curved, stainless steel glass bulkhead aft.

Outside the main deck aft has a J-shaped bar with four stools, a large pedestal table with seating for alfresco dining and all round space to entertain. Stairs to port and starboard access the innovative ocean terrace feature and gives access to the large, bi-level deck area and integral swim platform with transformer passarelle, ideal for watersports. Her sundeck is spacious for a yacht of her size and is fully equipped with a helm station, oversized Jacuzzi, a barbecue and C-shaped settee with access down to the boat deck on the starboard side. The foredeck has a sunpad and settee for guests to enjoy.

Over the past three years she has undergone many upgrades including LED lighting and new HD TVs throughout, iPad systems controllers, new or renewed teak decks, new paint, new waste treatment system and a new air conditioning system.

Lady Bee, which can take a crew of seven, is propelled by two Deutz diesel engines and has a cruising speed of 18 knots and top speed of 23 knots. She has a range of 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Lady Bee was asking $8,900,000.
