Alpha Custom Yachts signs contract for 30m Squalo Trenta model

Alpha Custom Yachts has signed a contract for a new build 29.6-metre Squalo Trenta, with David Johnson of Denison Yachting representing the owner.

Building in Italy for Alpha Custom Yachts, the GRP-hulled pilothouse Squalo Trenta model was designed, inside and out, by Roberto Curtó who said “This is not an industrial product. It is a piece of art. Squalo is full of Italian nautical history, style and innovation.”

The angular exterior, with windows galore, contains accommodation for 10 guests in five cabins. The master suite is positioned well forward on the main deck and the four remaining guest cabins on the lower deck. Renderings suggest a clean, contemporary design.

An inviting rectangular plunge pool is positioned aft on the aft deck, flanked by sunpads and overlooking the swimming platform that is reached by twin staircases. Toys are stowed in the garage that opens up through a large transom hatch.

The Squalo Trenta's upper deck has a large hard top, to provide shade for al fresco meals, and ample deck space for lounging. High topsides at the bow give high interior volume and make for an imposing look, also allowing for commanding views from the foredeck.

Twin 1,300hp MAN V8 diesels power the 190GT yacht at a cruising speed of 10 knots, with a range of 2,500 nautical miles at eight knots. Draft is 1.73 metres.

Alpha Squalo Trenta's base price is €11,000,000. Delivery of the RINA-classed vessel is scheduled for March 2024.
