The 72.4 metre motor yacht RM Elegant has been sold, with Adam-Michael Papadakis at Camper & Nicholsons acting for the buyer and seller.
She now becomes the third-largest motor yacht sold so far in 2016, after the 77m U77 and the 75m Leander G. Built in steel and aluminium by Greek yard Lamda Nafs to a design by Lally Poulias, RM Elegant was delivered in 2005 and a multi-million dollar refit in 2014 saw her fully repainted and upgraded.
She accommodates an amazing 30 guests in 15 cabins including a master suite that spans an entire deck, with a king sized bed, bath, shower and a separate office that can be accessed by the other guests when needed. The remaining 14 cabins all have king sized beds that can be converted into twins, emphasizing her versatility and popularity as a charter yacht. All cabins have entertainment centres, television screens and en suite shower facilities. In addition, there are quarters for 31 crew, giving a guest/crew ratio of 1:1.
Interior volumes are vast and the saloon, decorated in neutral colours, comes with comfortable seating, a bar, a Yamaha grand piano and a state of the art entertainment centre including a 55 inch plasma television screen. There is also piped music throughout the yacht.
A 260 square metre sun deck has everything needed for al fresco entertainment and relaxation, including sun pads, a 12 person Jacuzzi and a bar. Other features include a movie theatre, spa and massage room, and an elevator running through all decks.
Twin 2,260hp Caterpillar diesel engines give her a cruising speed of 17 knots and a transatlantic range of 3,300 nautical miles.
The asking price of RM Elegant has been withheld.
