The 56 metre sailing yacht Panthalassa, listed for sale by Y.CO, has been sold in an in-house deal.
Designed by Ron Holland, she was built in aluminium by Italian yard Perini Navi to ABS class and delivered in 2010 with regular refits, most recently in 2016. An extraordinarily light and airy interior by Norman Foster & Partners accommodates 12 guests in flexible accommodation configured as six double suites or four double and two twin cabins, depending on guest requirements. Each guest cabin has its own Kaleidescape on demand audio and video system, an Apple television screen and en suite bathroom facilities. In addition, there are quarters for 10 crew.
An imposing central oval staircase links all three decks and the interior dining saloon converts to a fully soundproofed cinema or boardroom with conference facilities for keeping up with business onboard. The lounging area in the main saloon is panelled in light woods and offers comfortable seating, a state of the art entertainment centre and a unique ‘floating’ bar for maximum entertainment potential.
Overall, her open layout is ideal for seamless indoor-outdoor living, including side and stern swim platforms, a large aft deck with built in upholstered seating around an oval table for al fresco dining and a large flybridge with seating areas, two barbecue grills and sun pads. Under power, twin 2,800hp Caterpillar diesel engines give her a very respectable range of 3,500 nautical miles at 10 knots.
The asking price of Panthalassa has been withheld.
