BOAT rounds up what not to miss at the International design fair and trade show Salone del Mobile, running from 8-13 April 2025 in Milan – showcasing the latest installations, exhibitions, launches, and showcases from the world of luxury interiors, lifestyle and beyond.

Frette

Looking to update your soft furnishings and fabrics on board? Frette has all the answers in its new collection with internationally renowned interior designer Tara Bernerd. Soft cashmere throws, cushions, linens and loungewear showcase architecturally inspired weaves and patterns in an array of colours that will give any saloon a new lease of life. Acqua di Parma

Stop by the iconic fragrance brand’s colourful Milanese flagship for a preview of its new fragrance, aptly named ‘Buongiorno'. Available as eau de parfum, body and bath products and for the home, this fresh scent blends notes of mint, lavender and rosemary together with the air of freshly cut grass. Range Rover

The luxury British car marque takes us back in time to the 1970s with Futurespective: Connected Worlds, a collaboration with California-based innovation design office NUOVA at the 18th-century Palazzo Belgioioso. Bespoke furniture, scents by Aeir, NUOVA’s sustainable luxury perfume brand, and outfits by LA-based luxury atelier L’Equip round out the multi-sensory experience. The Rug Company

The Rug Company debuts at Salone as it unveils its partnership with American designer Kelly Wearstler inside a tiny 19th-century theatre that was recently restored and opened to the public. The collaboration showcases its uniquely crafted rugs from a hanging installation, with the techniques and textiles used on display throughout the galleries above. Loro Piana

Loro Piana and Dimoremilano present ‘La Prima Notte di Quiete’, a hauntingly beautiful immersive experience ‘where the real and the plausible intertwine’. Guests are escorted through a cinematic series of hallways of draped plush velvets before being cast into darkness, only for a series of light and soundscapes to highlight the label’s upcoming interior design elements across a number of successive set pieces. Officine Gullo

The bespoke kitchen specialists at Officine Gullo have long been pondering a move into yacht-specific designs, and Salone 2025 sees the launch of the Nautical Collection. The Balvenie

The dramatic landscapes of the Highlands are transported to Milan in a collaborative partnership between The Balvenie whisky and Dr Samuel Ross MBE. The award-winning British designer worked with the heritage single malts label to create ‘Transpositions’, a water-led copper frame installation inspired by the distillery that uses mist, light and sound to mirror the evolution of The Balvenie Fifty Collection.
