London Design Week will return to Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour for six days this March, offering interiors enthusiasts unrivalled access and insight into 2018's hottest industry trends. Along with a myriad of specially commissioned installations, visitors can expect over 100 immersive experiences, including meet-the-designer talks, workshops, demonstrations and bespoke pop-ups.
Over on the main stage, international speakers and taste-makers will be sharing their expert knowledge in the ever-popular Conversations in Design series. With guests including stellar designers, artists and industry insiders, such as Lord Snowdon, Sir Peter Osborne, Sophie Ashby and Susie Atkinson, and topics ranging from hotel design to the importance of craftsmanship and the creativity borne from international travel, there is something to inspire every budding interior designer.
This year, London Design Week will also introduce a new initiative entitled ‘Legends’, which invites a range of specialists in the fields of art, design and architecture to transform the Design Centre's showroom windows with a variety of eye-catching displays. Notable collaborations will include Gert Voorjans with Jim Thompson and Nina Campbell with Summit Furniture. Big names in fashion, such as Tory Burch, Loewe, Cutler and Gross, will also be offering a fresh take on interior design as part of the Legends programme.
In addition, guests to 2018's edition will be offered the chance to take a discovery tour of Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, with interiors expert Carole Annett. During the tour, you’ll learn more about household names in design and receive their recommendations on the must-have pieces for Spring/Summer 2018 - all while enjoying a glass of fizz.
“Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour has become known for its strong curated events," says Claire German, managing director of Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. "London Design Week 2018 promises a magical combination of design encounters and ways to connect with 600+ leading international brands.”
